Portfolio. Doing business as a theme park owner and operator, Southern Star Amusement continues to explore a diversified portfolio of properties. One of our most public activities has been our interest in redeveloping the former Jazzland/Six Flags amusement park in New Orleans, Louisiana. The park originally opened in 2000 under the name of Jazzland, but was subsequently managed by Six Flags. The property, owned by the City of New Orleans, has been closed since Hurricane Katrina. While the park experienced flood damage, it is still in restorable condition. Please click the link above to view early conceptual artwork related to that park.
