Southern Star Amusement, Inc., is a location based entertainment development company dedicated to creating quality, family friendly attractions.
Our main project at this time involves the former Jazzland / Six Flags Amusement Park in New Orleans, Louisiana. Originally opened in 2000, the park has been shuttered since 2005. Our plans for re-opening the park include the restoration of existing attractions and structures, as well as the addition of several new attractions. Specifically, an emphasis will be on adding water park attractions to the venue. The park's new theming will incorporate a more family-friendly approach, with attractions that appeal to a wide audience. Our plans also include improved landscaping, shade structures and misting stations to help improve the experience of our guests. New attractions will include a wider selection of rides, water attractions, and a variety of new shows.
